Show Not Tell

Walking into my room the moon shone onto me through the window I closed my curtain. Outside I could hear owls hooting and dogs howling. Putting down my steaming cup of hot chocolate I put it down on my draw and jumped into bed. I snuggled up into my blanket. The wind was rattling against my window and the brunches scraping.

My Waitangi Movie

Fear!.

Running late from training, I took the shortcut through the alleyway. Entering into the alleyway, I suddenly saw shadows appearing at the other end. "Mums probably thinking where I am about now"I start to hear strange noises, my legs start trembling as sweat drips down from my forehead.

Walking halfway through the alleyway, my hearts starts pounding faster and faster. I tried avoiding the strange noises, but it was like glued to my head. Getting closer and closer, "AAAAAAH" I screamed, as a small cat came purring out of a bush.

Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 Article

The Malaysia Airlines flight 370 disappeared on the 8th of march 2014 and the malaysian air force are still searching from this day forward. Before they even knew that something was going wrong the flight was scheduled to depart from Kuala Lampur, Malaysia and was supposed to land in Beijing but did not show. They tried to see what happened and after hours of searching to try and find it to see where it was it dissapeared of the radar they then though it was lost in the air.

For the last week the air force was searching all around the area where it was supposed to go. Later in the week the search kept continuing until they came to there senses. Everybody that was part of the search team had there own opinions the main scenarios was that the plane had been hijacked, had a pilot error or crashed.

In the search they found that the plane had two people with stolen passports and tried to see if they might have been suspects in to the crime or if they were victims. They did background checks and busted into their homes but did not find any evidence of them being apart of the crimes.

The search still continued and each day they are still uncovering new clues on who hijacked it and where the plane is. They have some clues on who has hijacked it and are now trying to find out why and where.

Tamaki College's Samoan Group!..

Tamaki Samoan Group!..

Walking into the hall all I could see was the Tamaki Samoan group on stage. I was wondering why they were here but as they were practice there dance I knew they were here to perform to our school. I saw people that came to our school last year on stage to. As I was getting ready for assembly all I heard at the back of my ear was a sasa that they were doing.

When the bell rang they went to the music room and our school came into the hall. I was excited to see them perform because I am Samoan and also I saw them perform at the Polyfest  They did well at poly and there school also came in 4 places which I don't know.

"It time for Tamaki Samoan to perform to our school" As Mr Burt said.
As there walking on stage I spotted my cousin. Appearing on stage they firstly sang a song and then did there dance. It was a good performance because it made Mr Jacobson cry in a happy way. I enjoyed it and also our school did.

No matter if your not Samoan you can always join because most people that ain't Samoan still perform with Samoan's. I can't wait until next year because I'm going to be a year 9 attended Tamaki and I'm going to try work my way into the Samoan group.

Fijian Flag Article

The current flag of Fiji was adopted on October the 10 1970, The flag had remained the same as during the colonial period. Also It has remained unchanged since the Fijian was declared a republic in 1987. The current flag is very similar to the colonial ensign it used prior to independence, the main differences being the latter used a darker shade of blue and displayed the entire Fijian coat of arms as opposed to just the shield.

The flag of Fiji is a shade of a blue sky with the British Union Jack in the upper left corner. To the right of the Union Jack there a  shield from the coat of arms of Fiji. The blue sky of the Fiji flag reflects the island nation's strong relationship with the Pacific Ocean that surrounds it. The British Union Jack represents Fiji's history as a colony of the United Kingdom.

The flag of the UK in the upper hoist-side quadrant and the Fijian shield centered on the outer half of the flag; the blue symbolizes the Pacific ocean and the Union Jack reflects the links with Great Britain the shield taken from Fiji's coat of arms depicts a yellow lion above a white field quartered by the cross of Saint George; the four quarters depict stalks of sugar cane. A palm tree, bananas, and a white dove.

Fiji held a competition upon its independence to design a new Fiji flag, but their flag now looks really similar to their old flag. This might be because Fiji still has strong cheap and political ties with Britain.
